Landscape Tectonix is commissioned by RWS as a landscape architect for the renovation of this upscale resort located in Sentosa, Singapore.

Formerly known as a renowned Hardrock Hotel Sentosa for many years, Landscape Tectonix envisions four key points in design;
- To create the impactful design illustrating the new brand's standard, segmentation and target guests of the hotel.
- To work on its existing constraints with full understanding on the potential of the current physical conditions to manage effectively on construction's budget and timeline.
- To elevate the privacy and exclusivity of guest's experiences with "wellbeing concept" enhancing the quality of stay.
- To utilize the interior and exterior spaces maximizing the opportunity for the operator to flexibly facilitate the functionality throughout the whole area.

The Buffy Fish Owl, as told by RWS's former CEO during his first visit to this island by forty years ago and came across with this native fauna, becomes the signature design element of this hotel. Therefore, it greets and welcomes all guests at the arrival where there is an iconic owl & water feature which its glittering pattern represents The Buffy Fish Owl's eyes.

The space planning aims to create the small private spaces which are beautifully hidden within the public area of the hotel. These intimate and cozy spaces, nestled by the greenery in multiple layers, motivate an interaction between guests and nature with privacy, exclusivity and intimacy creating a tranquil place for relax, rejuvinate and refresh.

Since this landscape area sits on the structure which the exhibition hall is below. The landscape area is therefore strategically raised up to ease the demolition of its existing structure and facilitate the construction progress.
