Design Narrative

In the hustle and bustle of Bangkok CBD where lacking of greenery is one of the critical issue, CPN Public Company Limited appointed Landscape Tectonix Limited as a landscape architect collaborating with Architect 49 to design the new skybridge connecting between Central Chidlom Department Store and BTS (Sky Train) Chidlom Station.

The vision is very simple but impactful by creating a garden path enhancing the concept of "Wellbeing" as a small green system to simply increase greenery to the city which all consultants would work to this goal and concurrently solve many constraints related to the typical skywalk.
.
The planter boxes are all upturned to facilitate sufficient soil depth which requires differently for different types of plant. The multiple layers of plantation are delicately composed to beautify the passage, motivate human senses along the journey as well as visually and physically screen the enclosed pathway from the busy street outside.

Small pocket spaces nestled in the garden offer an intimate and private setting within public space.
